i was made for this work.

Nurse. Director. Certified Dementia Practitioner. Ordained Minister. And someone who has walked this road long enough to know there is a better way.

Hi! My name is Brittaney Gibson. I began my journey as a memory care nurse — walking the halls of facilities, sitting with residents, watching families come and go with worry etched into their faces. Over time I moved into leadership as a memory care director, overseeing the care of some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.

And the longer I stayed, the more clearly I saw what was missing.

Caregivers who were burned out and undertrained. Families who were drowning in grief and had no one to guide them. Residents whose behaviors were being managed and corrected instead of understood and honored. A system so focused on activities calendars and compliance that it had forgotten the most important thing — the person in the room.

I watched staff fuss at residents for being confused. I watched families in online support groups quietly admit they wished God would take their loved one because they were so exhausted and alone. I watched the Church — one of the most powerful caregiving communities on earth — stand on the sidelines because no one had ever equipped them.

As an ordained minister, I could not stay silent. As a clinician, I could not look away.

So God gave me a framework. GRACE.

The GRACE Method was born out of decades of clinical experience, a deep and abiding faith, and one unshakeable conviction — that people living with dementia are still fully present as souls, still worthy of connection, dignity, and love. And that the families and caregivers walking this road with them deserve more than survival. They deserve grace.

GRACE Dementia Care Consulting exists to close the gap between clinical knowledge and spiritual compassion — to bring whole-person care to every family, every facility, every nurse, and every church that is ready to do this differently.

This is my calling. And I am honored — deeply honored — to walk this journey with you."

what i believe

Every person living with dementia is still fully present as a soul — worthy of connection, dignity, and love.

We should never prioritize correcting them over connecting with them.

Caregivers cannot pour from an empty cup. Caring for the caregiver is just as sacred as caring for the patient.

The Church is one of the most powerful caregiving communities on earth — and it was made for this moment.

the world i am working towards

I envision a world where every person living with dementia is met with patience, understanding, and the quiet confidence that they are still seen — still known — still loved.

A world where caregivers are equipped, supported, and honored for the sacred work they do.

A world where facilities lead with connection instead of correction.

A world where the Church knows how to show up for its most vulnerable members.

And a world where no family ever has to walk the dementia journey feeling alone, afraid, or without grace.

That world is possible. GRACE is how we build it.
